Pool Toys

Discuss - The backwash discharge from an Copper Ionization treated pool is safe for use on lawns and in gardens since it does not contain any salt or sodium. Backwash from pools treated with salt water systems can kill plant life, sterilize soil preventing plant growth and is prohibited in many municipalities in the United States and Australia (where salt water systems were invented).

The desire to construct a pool in people’s backyard is common. For this reason, many homeowners hire professionals who help design, permanent in ground or above ground pools. They may be concrete, fiberglass or vinyl-ling pools. Others, who may not enjoy the privilege of constructing pools, may opt for rubber or synthetic fabric inflatable pools. Though these alternatives are poles apart they solve the same purpose. Pools in the backyard help families and friends enjoy numerous joyous gatherings. Though pool toys are associated with children, there are various pool toys that can keep adults engaged for extended hours.

Discuss - Make sure the pool cover has a good overlap length. You should buy a size that is a little larger than your pool.

Most pool toys are inflatable and can be filled in a matter of minutes with the use of pumps. This is a feasible option because pool toys can keep collecting and this could cause storage problems. Inflatable pool toys can be deflated and stored well. Most other filled toys are made of durable plastic and synthetic materials. Most pool toys continuously slip out of sight and get stuck in the gaps or edges of the pool. When selecting, it is important to check a manufacturers reputation, and compare price points and features. It is advisable not to purchase toys with sharp edges or those that are extremely small. These could cause injury and choking hazards in the midst of a fun filled event.

People may select from a wide range of ring tubes that allow kids and adults to float along. Others may opt for larger floats and lounges that can house adults. There are numerous themed pool toys as well as fun toys. A benefit of adding fun toys is that it increases physical activity and allows all family members to spend quality time together. Others may choose to install inflatable slides and fountains. In order to engage kids in the pool, parents may opt for inflatable dolphins and fluorescent balls.

Discuss - Don’t clean your pool! A dirty pool is an expensive pool (expensive for you, profitable for your local pool business). The more you let your pool go, the more it will cost to get things back together again.

Pool Heaters

ZEN POOL … Awaken the Master Within Top Professional Pool Player and Instructor Max Eberle shares with you many of the hard earned pool/billiards knowledge known only by the champions.

The basic purpose of installing pool heater appliances is, to ensure warm water during the winter and cold days. This is important or else pools are rendered useless during this season. This prompts people to drain the pool and embark upon maintenance activities or keep the pool covered for the entire period. Pool heaters are of various types and users may select according to their requirement. For this it is important to understand available options, alternatives and the utility of these appliances.

A number of people prefer installing solar pool heaters. They are a viable option provided customers have evaluated its pros and cons. Prior to purchasing a solar eater, it is important to understand its usage, capacity, and compatibility with the size of a pool, the heaters resourcefulness and efficiency. Apart from this potential customers may compare price points and manufacturers reputation. They function by forcing pool water through a filter into the solar collector, which contains heat from the sun. The water is heated here and then pumped back into the pool. Certain varieties are also known to have a dual function. During summer it is possible to transfer the water during the cooler evenings, which helps lower water temperature in the pool. They have a lower operating cost as compared to other heaters, and manufacturers guarantee durability.

Discuss - Since salt water pool systems produce chlorine, the sanitizing effectiveness of the system is impacted by changes in temperature, bather load, sunlight and rainfall. Changes in any of these factors may require additional “shocking” of the water to prevent an algae outbreak.

Gas swimming pool heaters force pool water into a filter and then to a heater. People may use natural or propane that burns in the heater’s combustion cavity. The heat generated is passed onto the water, which is then pumped, back into the pool. They are quick and efficient and the heat generated can be controlled and retained for longer periods. Heat pump heaters contain a fan that draws air, which is passed onto an evaporator coil. A liquid refrigerant in this coil turns the air into gas that is passed through a heat-producing compressor.

7 Reasons Why Copper Ionization is Preferred by Pool Owners Over Salt Water Pools

Discuss - If possible find a broker with experience in home improvement loans and swimming pool financing. A bank equity loan is not the same as a this type of loan and will almost certainly cost you more.

1. Swimmers prefer the feel and taste of water treated by Copper Ionization over salt water pools by an overwhelming margin.

2. Copper Ionization systems work within a calcium hardness range of 200-2,000ppm. Because it converts calcium to bicarbonate, the Copper Ionization will eliminate and prevent calcium scaling on pool walls and rock features. Salt water pools do not control calcium scaling and will only work within a calcium range of 200-400 ppm.

3. Since salt water pool systems produce chlorine, the sanitizing effectiveness of the system is impacted by changes in temperature, bather load, sunlight and rainfall. Changes in any of these factors may require additional “shocking” of the water to prevent an algae outbreak. The effectiveness of Copper Ionization is not significantly affected by these factors. A Copper Ionization System owner does not have to be concerned about doing anything different to treat their pool if they have 20 kids in the pool all day. The pool water will still provide bacterial and algae protection for a full week or more.

4. Vinyl liners, automated pool covers and solar covers may become damaged from the use of chlorine or salt water pool systems. Since Copper Ionization systems do not require the use of harmful oxidizing chemicals, these expensive pool components can be expected to last their normal life expectancy.

5. Salt water pool systems will use an average of 500 watts of AC power for a 20,000 gallon pool. Copper Ionization systems will use an average of only 40 watts of DC power to treat the same amount of water.

6. Salt water pool systems and Copper ionization systems both use a chamber in their process. The difference is that a salt water pool system’s cell may need to be replaced in 3-5 years at a cost of over $400. The copper bars in the Copper Ionization chamber cost less than $100 to replace and they should last 4-7 years. The Ionization chamber is warranted for 5 years and should last indefinitely.

7. The backwash discharge from an Copper Ionization treated pool is safe for use on lawns and in gardens since it does not contain any salt or sodium. Backwash from pools treated with salt water systems can kill plant life, sterilize soil preventing plant growth and is prohibited in many municipalities in the United States and Australia (where salt water systems were invented).

Discuss - Alkaline powder. Although chlorine in your pool will kill off germs, it will also raise the level of acid in your water.
